The Early Years: A Journey of Education and Discovery

Amir’s educational journey began at the Valley Model Academy in Pampore, where he completed his primary education. Later, he attended the Muslim Educational Institute in Pampore, excelling in his secondary education. By the time he completed his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from Amar Singh College in Srinagar in 2018, Amir had discovered his true calling: photography.

It was during his college days that Amir’s passion for capturing moments began to take shape. Inspired by the natural beauty of Kashmir and its people, Amir started working as a professional photographer in 2016, dedicating himself to mastering the craft.

Refining the Craft: Education in Photography and Filmmaking

To further hone his skills, Amir enrolled in a certification course at the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune in 2018. The rigorous training he received at FTII equipped him with technical expertise and a deeper understanding of the art of visual storytelling.

Despite his creative pursuits, Amir continued his academic journey, completing a Master of Commerce (M.Com) from the University of Kashmir in 2021. During this period, he also worked as a travel agent, which broadened his horizons and provided him with opportunities to explore new cultures and landscapes.

Expanding Horizons: Professional Growth in Dubai

In 2022, Amir moved to Dubai, a turning point in his career. He initially joined GMG, a leading retail conglomerate, as an Accounts Assistant. However, his passion for creativity and visual storytelling soon propelled him to a role as a Photographer and Filmmaker.

In this role, Amir worked with internationally renowned brands such as Nike, Geant, Monoprix, Franprix, Monop, and Aswaq. Over two years, he refined his skills in commercial photography and filmmaking, collaborating with global teams and producing captivating visuals that resonated with diverse audiences.

A Return to Roots: Pursuing Passion in Kashmir

In 2024, Amir returned to his roots in Kashmir with a renewed sense of purpose. Determined to focus full-time on photography and filmmaking, he began traveling across India, capturing the essence of its diverse cultures and landscapes.

From the serene snow-capped mountains of Kashmir to the vibrant streets of urban India, Amir’s work showcases a spectrum of emotions and experiences. His storytelling reflects a deep connection to the subjects he photographs, bringing their stories to life in an authentic and empathetic manner.
